Birth of Venus by Sandro Botticelli is one of the most recognized paintings in art history. Naturally, this is a great addition for the art history series. 

Reproducing this painting was challenging because Botticelli masterfully mixed his colors to create a very subtle color and value shift combined with the strong clean and fine lines that separate his subjects from their surroundings creating a very delicate feel.
